Rescheduled from June, our speaker is Megan McGrew. Megan will present "Adjusting and Implementing Project Management in the Legal Arena."
Megan is Legal Project Management Business Support Project Manager at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC in the Firm's Jackson, MS office. Ms. McGrew is an alumna of Mississippi College (B.A., '04) and The University of Mississippi (J.D., '07) and was licensed to practice law in Mississippi in 2007.
Prior to her licensure, Ms. McGrew worked primarily in the political sector in both administrative and campaign management positions for local, statewide and national campaigns. Upon licensure, Ms. McGrew began working in the disaster recovery efforts to assist the Mississippi Gulf Coast repair and rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. During this time, she served in both project management and legal capacities. She joined Baker Donelson's Legal Project Management Office in May of 2013, and received her PMP certification later that year.
As Legal Project Manager, Ms. McGrew is responsible for internal development, implementation and support efforts for the Firm's legal project management initiative and related software. She assists in monitoring and controlling tasks, schedules, and budgets for projects as well as with the development and implementation of change control processes for legal matters. She evaluates historical data and integrates this information into existing form documentation to track performance levels, quality customer service and reporting information. She also provides continuous support to clients, attorneys, paralegals and other firm employees on the implementation of Firm project management software.
